Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between kinesiology and reiki?
Whilst they both have similarities, they each are different modalities. Briefly, in kinesiology, we use muscle testing/monitoring to tap into the subconscious mind to clear all types of stress within the entire body holistically (mind, body and soul). We use vast and different remedies to support the body in requiring the whole self to return back to its optimum health. In reiki, we use high vibrational energy (universal life force) which is channeled and directed through the palms of the hands, using a hands on healing technique sending the reiki energy to flow into the recipient's energy field and specifically working with the chakras and aura.
Is Kinesiology a cooperative and reciprocal modality?
Yes, Kinesiology is a partaking, cooperative modality. There is active participation between the Kinesiologist and the client during the entire session. The client may be required to perform certain exercises or activities during the session. I.e. any brain switching exercises, repeating affirmations, various grounding exercises, smelling essential oils, tapping/EFT and more.
The client's dedication to their own healing journey and doing the work that is necessary for moving forward in their growth is paramount should any lasting results and changes be actively felt and/or seen.
Do I need to fill out a New Client Form and give consent?
Yes. Every new client must complete the new client form and tick the consent box to proceed with any session. This allows me to understand clearly each client's history and what their priority is to work on. The client has an obligation and responsibility to disclose all conditions and/or ailments within the new client form.
What is muscle testing/monitoring?
Muscle testing/monitoring is when we receive bio-feedback from the subconscious mind using light, gradual and consistent pressure on the brachioradialis arm muscle to see if it contracts or extends due to either a stress/block or balance indicating within the body together with vast remedies indicating how to activate and bring the mind-body back into coherence.
How many sessions do I need?
With any natural healing modality the body needs time to integrate and amalgamate the healing that has taken place. Kinesiology and/or Reiki are not quick fixes, however in some cases, instantaneous healing may occur. Everyone is vastly different and every ailment is different so the below recommendations are general.
We recommend the following plan:
Either an Initial Kinesiology Consultation or an Initial Reiki Consultation, then pursued by 3-5 Follow up Kinesiology Consultations or Follow up Reiki Consultation 2-3 weeks apart whilst incorporating any home reinforcements and lifestyle changes. A further, Follow up Kinesiology Consultation or Follow up Reiki Consultation to be spaced out between 3 - 6 weeks or booked as per needed thereafter.
Conscious vs Subconscious mind
The conscious mind is where logical thinking and intellectual processes reside, thoughtful actions are made, rationalising, short term memory, decision making, communication through language, writing, reading, critical thinking and more. The subconscious mind is autonomous and a space where we hold all past long term memories, traumas, beliefs, values, patterns, protective reactions, traditions etc. It has been said that the subconscious mind is far more powerful than the conscious mind as it acts upon involuntary actions through patters, beliefs, values etc and processes enormous amounts of information that come via the five senses, communicating them back to the brain in one blink of an eye.
What is Emotions and Metaphysical Kinesiology?
The Emotions and Metaphysical Kinesiology modality identifies the core emotional stressors that is being presented through the mind-body connection and awareness. Simultaneously assisting the bridging of understanding the metaphysical notions, guiding higher awareness and allowing for the potential of deeper healing to occur.
